History                           

The practice was founded by Mr A.H. (Sandy) Laing in Much Wenlock. He expanded the practice with Brian Whiteford running a branch in Bridgnorth. When Mr Dwerryhouse, who ran another practice in Bridgnorth, died, the two practices merged.

Paul Verney became a partner in 1984 and moved the practice to its present location in Hollybush Road. Pete Howman joined the partnership in 2002, opening a branch in Cleobury Mortimer where he is based.

Gerard Callaghan and Ryan Davis became partners on Rick Hollands' retirement in July 2007, reinforcing our commitment to all areas of mixed practice in the future.

An unmanned branch has been run in Highley for many years and is now sited in the Severn Centre.

In the early days the practice mainly attended cattle, but as in many other veterinary practices, there has been an increase in the time spent with domestic pets. The addition of our practice in Cleobury has included more equine work, so we are now a truly mixed practice.

The consolidation of smaller practices in to a larger group has allowed us to keep up-to-date with the latest veterinary treatments for all our patients and clients, be they pets, farm animals or horses.

At the same time we aim to maintain the traditions of our predecessors to provide professional and friendly veterinary service.

As well as routine and planned procedures we provide 24 hour veterinary cover 365 days a year and are able to respond appropriately to all veterinary emergencies.
